I set my PC at stock because i have been seeing very strange display issues after overclocking. at 3.9 Turbo stock and the voltage is at 1.264 to 1.280. When i overclock to 4.3 and set the voltage to 1.230 adaptive i see display lines and tearing issues. Does this maybe mean i don't have enough voltage running for my CPU? I never experiance crashing or freezing even running 1.150V

Motherboard (BIOS) updates. If you are not using bios version 3504 you need to update to that bios version. There are many compatibility and stability improvements. Even if it is not the fix for YOUR specific issue, this should still be done. Do not update to version 3703, there are problems with that version that cause instability. Go to the following page and then click on "see all downloads" below the 3703 bios update to see the version 3504 update.

If you have already updated to version 3703, you may be out of luck until a newer version is released as it's likely that is part of your problem.

First thing you want to do is make sure you have the latest bios version installed. If you have not updated your bios since you bought the motherboard or system, then likely you do not.

There are many updates available since the starting version on all of the Skylake boards.

Do that first, and we can go from there.

Also, please list your full system specs including all model numbers and whether you are using the integrated graphics or a discreet graphics card.

Normally, if you are using a discreet card, CPU voltage would not be a major factor in display corruption, but its always possible. More likely if you are using the integrated CPU graphics though.

That seems right. I had better stability on the other bios. Im already using the newest one. Think i can downgrade? Also a update installed last night and i think it actually fixed it. Wont get my hopes up. Thank you for your help! Ill wait for updates and check for BIOS updates and wait to see if this will fix as time goes on :)

Some boards WILL allow you to regress back to an earlier version of the BIOS, and some will not. Others have problems after attempting to do so. My best advice would be to contact ASUS and ask the tech support people if THIS board can be regressed to an earlier bios IF you continue to have issues on this version. I suspect a new version might come soon, but who knows. I haven't heard anything about new versions being released since the news broke about the new bios versions for these vulnerabilities having microcode that was causing problems.

I have seen another instance, in a separate thread, about a member who tried to install an earlier version and now his Flashback light is permanently flashing after the attempt. System still runs but is stuck on the newest bios version. He too is waiting to see if another version gets released anytime soon. Otherwise, you might have to either wait, or contact ASUS and ask them to RMA the board if they say you cannot revert back to an earlier bios. They put out the bad bios, so it should be their responsibility to clean up the mess.
