I built a new gaming PC, and it keep crashing while I'm playing games such as rainbow six siege and overwatch. The screen freezes up and weird multi colored squares appear through the screen. It has also froze up with a fully gray screen before. To get out of this, I have to hold down the power button to restart the desktop

My specs:
I7-8700k
Z370e ROG Strix Gaming Motherboard
16gb of 3200mhz g.skill trident z
EVGA 1080ti ftw 3 elite gaming
Samsung 960 Pro 512gb
WD 2tb black hdd
850w G3 EVGA PSU

Here is an image of what the screen looks like:

I haven't been able to find a thread with the same issue.

Please help me find out what is wrong as I just built this computer and don't want to have to take it to a computer repair store already.

Request any other info needed.

Solution
it seems like a failed overclock or faulty component.
If you have overclocked, try to set everything on defaults, especially the GPU.
If not, try to replace or test the GPU in other computer.

Thanks for the reply! I have turned off all of my overclocks but that didn't fix the problem. If it's a hardware issue, it's definitely going to be the gpu, right?
