Hi guys!
My I7 4790K have temperatures 65C in FULL LOAD at 4.0 speed but when i`m setting the GPU BOOST in my Z97M PLUS my clock up to 4448Mhz and my temperature stay high at 91C after 20 minutes of prime95, of course.
My question is, this H55 is suck and i can only run this at 4.0 or what?

After 6 minutes in prime the power package goes to 150W WTF

Yes, since we are talking about an overclock, those numbers look pretty good. That said be careful when you are using the auto overclocking feature of some motherboards because they also adjust the CPU vcore voltage automatically and sometimes they apply too much voltage. So if you do want to overclock the CPU you should do it manually thus having more control on your system. It may be more difficult especially if you are an inexperienced user, but on other hand it's much safer, provided that you know what you are doing. Using prime for stress testing isn't recommended because it's notorious for causing unrealistically high CPU loads, temps and power consumption. Especially all the newer prime95 versions, with the AVX instructions, stress the CPU a lot more, than you'll ever see in normal usage scenarios. So I think you should be fine with the H55. However if you want to overclock your CPU, you'll certainly need a much better water cooler but even then you won't be able to go higher than 4.6 GHz with your specific CPU.

No it's too little. Usually 2-3 hours is considered the minimum. However in your case you can leave it for just 1 hour since in reality you aren't overclocking your CPU, you are just testing your cooling system at stock-default clocks. Don't worry your temps look fine for your specific CPU, at stock clocks. Good luck.

Most 4790K can do 4.7GHz easy and up to 4.9GHz with adequate cooling and a bit of luck.

For a gaming PC 20-30 mins is sufficient for me. Unless you're a professional gamer with money on the line you don't need to go hours on end under 100% stress. Just my opinion.
