Mu mouse wire is too short. Is it good yo use extension?

Hi, i bought new mouse but the wire is too short. Is it good to use Cable extension? Will this affect my gaming? By that i mean if i use extension then can my mouse sometimes lag or not work?

Thanks. I dont really mean lag but i mean like doesnt this extension cause like mouse stuck or something like that? Because i had my old mousr, it was wireless and it had alot of problems, for example in the middle of the game the mouse kept stucking and like laggy effect.
