Teleporting randomly in game (especially when running/sprinting)

Hi all, when playing multiplayer games (Fortnite, Dirty Bomb) I have noticed SEVERE random teleportations. What happens is when I walk, run or sprint I am teleported forwards backwards sideways etc etc then back to where I was in the first place. For example I tried to enter a doorway but was then teleported right back outside. Is this because of a faulty graphics card or internet lag? Please could anyone help me as this is severely hindering my ability to play anything. Graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060. Thanks!
