462W system usage with 500W PSU?

I am planning to upgrade my RX 480 8GB to a GTX 980 Ti, and the system would draw 462W with the 980. Would it be okay for the psu to have such little head room for a few months until i can gather up enough money to get a psu with a higher wattage?

No, it depends on the PSU in question.
No, I wouldn't anyway, it's far too close to the limit for the PSU
Maybe, what's the rest of the system? the calculators aren't great, but 450W+ could be about right, I know that my 970 based system draws about 350W from the wall at gaming load, and the 980ti is about 90W more than that.

Here's where many people come in and say it's a fantastic idea to run a 500 watt PSU at 450 watts.

A quality 600-650 watt PSU is $59....; get one.
