Xbox One X vs Gaming PC (gtx 1060)

hi guys..here is 2018 and the mining craz..I live in Egypt and I was going to build a new pc with a budget of 840$..with a gtx 1060 6gb and ryzen 5 1600..BUT the mining craze destroyed all my plans..where the gtx 1060 3gb went from 280$ to about 380$..and the gtx 1060 6gb went from 340$ to more than 500$..so I had to change my plans and get gtx 1060 3gb and ryzen 5 1500x instead to fit my budget..which will make me lose much performance from my first build..
Here is the parts I may go with
Any gtx 1060 3gb (380)
Ryzen 5 1500x (200)
B350 motherboard (90)
8gb ram DRR4 2400mhz (90)
500watt psu (50)
1TB hdd (50)
Total:860$
(The prices here are a bit expensive than normal)

And for the monitor I will use my old 720p60hz monitor(I know it is shit) but no other choice until the next upgrade and will get a new monitor

Just keep in mind that 840$ is still very heavy price for me. .and even the pc will cost mre..

Then I thought about getting a new xbox one x which got more performance than 1060 as they say..
Which is only about 500-600$..and will benefit from my big 1080p tv..my next upgrade if I go with that a 4k tv
But I won't buy an xbox one x alone
Xbox one X (550~)
Xbox live gold one year (60)
200$ of games or less
Total less than 800$
And I forgot to say that I have an xbox 360 which my brothers use..so If I got the X I would be able to sell it for 200$ or something. .

In my case I think the x is better..but you know I hate consoles don't know why. .despite I am very good at using controller..so what do you guys think
Which will have better performance
And is it worth the cost for pc?

Ps.I use an old pc which is struggling to get above 30fps on 720p.

PC gaming is defiantly better than consoles as the graphics are just superior and they can be updated periodically quite easily enough and if you are or know someone tech savvy can be a good long term game investment for that reason. However there are other things to consider like ease of use, portability, and functionality. I think a laptop excels in those area for the most part and is really compelling. If you happen to like music production they are super compelling too now with touch screen interfaces that is a big deal. Right now gaming desktops aren't that compelling in terms of value with the mining craze. Unless you plan on doing higher end gaming PC at high resolutions it makes it difficult to recommend because the prices are...

Shorty: consoles are sold below the price of the hardware, the companies make money on games and peripherals. On the short run you get more fps on a console (with limited resolution and settings), as games are better optimised.
On the long run, a PCs can do more (versatile resolution, settings, etc..) and are cheaper to upgrade, get games for. It depends on what you are planing to play, do with your rig.

If you are on a budget, shop for a used 4th gen intel i5 rig or better and put a gtx 1050ti or rx570 into it!

PC = Unlimited (Many options) Xbox/Ps = Limited
Just save up or buy them when they're cheap (when mining goes to downfall , hopefully). Xbox/Ps = Easily get bored (unless you got tons of friends who plays xbox/ps) and wasting money/monthly. One day, you'll be selling them and get tons of regrets or maybe not.

You can cut down Motherboard price by buying this ''ASRock - AB350M Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard''

The mining craze is wreaking havoc on the PC gaming community. I've been wanting to upgrade my video card for awhile now, but I'll be damned if I'm going to pay above retail for one.

If your focus is gaming then I'd say go with the xbox for now.

Thanks for your reply, I am only into gaming I already got a laptop for work, I play mostly PUPG, BF and other FPS..All my problem with the console that I am a pc gamer likes mouse and keyboard but that can be solved easily i think ..do not forget that is an Xbox one X not the normal one..So the point now which will have better performance that what matters for me..The most reasoning thing for me to get the XB1X is the price and its 4K abilities..can i get more answers please?

If you want to play in 1080p, PC is better. If you have a 4k monitor, and want pfs above 30, again, you will need a gaming PC. If you plan to play on a TV, you are better off with a console. However shooters are not that fun with controller and slow frames.

I do not have 1080p monitor for the pc now only 720p...while got large 1080p tv

okay that is not important a lot..now another question which will perform better the pc or the X?

As mentioned above, you get what you pay for. The X has a limited performance. As for the pc, you can invest more and get better results.

Ok so, if you ask me, the smart thing to do would be to cave in and buy the computer. Although the console may be very tempting to buy you have to realize that just like all consoles they will stop having games made for that console. Tomorrow they could come out with the Xbox 2 and then you would be screwed if you want to play a new titles that is not supported. With the PC you wouldn't have to upgrade every year ( if you didn't want to ) just to play the latest titles. In the long run you will be saving a lot of money not to mention if you want to go back and play older games emulators are always going to be around and also most games are on steam somewhere.

Buy a used pc with a 4770k or 4790k, a 1060 6gb, ssd and 16gb ram. These old i7 will still perform better than a ryzen 1600 and a used rig like that shouldnt cost more than 900.
