I think my GTX 780 is dead

The system boots up fine, everything appears to ok, when I go into any game, or any 3d benchmark, you will see the 3d image for a few seconds, then the whole computer crashes.

I have unistalled/re-installed drivers, no change, I have put another GPU in my system, works perfectly, I have taken my GPU to another computer, put it inside, boots up and crashes in exactly the same manner.

I'm just looking for confirmation here really, cause the GPU market is horrible right now. I am sitting here with a HD 7770 1gb on my main PC, If I need to bite the bullet any suggestions on temporary GPUS that are on the less expensive side, I was trying to ride this out till the next gen GPU's arrive, but the 7770 is not really cutting it for anything

Solution
if the bios fix does not work check with the video card vendor some of the old gpu used to have life time warranties. also check to see if your gpu every had a recall or class action on it. some of the 700 cards the vendor were caught not using nvidia hardware spec on there cards. these cards cause no post and issues.

Good call, I checked for the bios for my card, and it turns out I have a dual bios. I switched over, It booted fine, and did exactly the same thing. I restarted the computer and it came back on with shit resolution and a ton of artifacting, my hope is waning. I may download a bios and try to do that, I have nothing to lose

I watched that, It's crazy that video came out exactly as I had my problem with my 780.

Its close to the previous answer. I may try to flash the bios, but my card is dual bios and neither works, and now I am seeing artifacting, thanks for your reply.
