Hard drive not showing up just RMA?

I have switched both power and sata cables to one from another drive (So they work 110%).

It does not show up even in the BIOS, it vibrates and spins, I am certain it is on.

This was used which I am aware isn't great but still I know this store tests all drives before selling them. Unless some employee dropped it.

is there anything I am missing? just RMA?

I could tell straight away from the EMC PN 11800032 REV -02 (the second line from the top), as EMC PN refers to EMC Part Number. I verified with google searching for other pictures of HUS726060ALA640 drives and stickers which look different.
Where did you buy this? The working EMC PN makes me think this drive is for/from a EMC SAN which may or may not work on a normal PC.
With a used drive you wont be able to RMA espically if it is from an EMC SAN, your only option would be to return it to the store for a replacement or refund

This was from a store here that sells computer/phone/game stuff. I will refund it they gave a 2 year warranty.
The thing was on their site (of the local store) they display generic images for their hard drives, quite literally you only find out what it is when you buy it. I mean I don't care as said they offer a 2 year warranty.

If this is a SAN is there no practical way for me to see if it works with a regular consumer windows 10 computer?

It should in theory work, but drives from EMC SAN's do use very specific firmware which could be causing the problem, or it could just be something wrong with the drive. I have used some older drives from a EMC SAN in a computer before and they were extremely loud for 7200RPM and the performance was aweful compared to comsumer drives, which I was guessing had to do with the custom firmware on the disk, possibly because it was not plugged into EMC equipment

I just noticed now when plugged in on boot it all of sudden connects and disconnects. This all happens within a few seconds, I can actually see it pop up in 'device and printers'. I will just go with a refund, I think it's just a luck game for me thankfully I know a employee there, smoothe sailings.

For future reference; is there any way to check drives like these to see its intended use? what number is giving it away?. All their prices are a billion times cheaper then buying new drives in Europe, it costs around $324 for 8tb drives new we get at best a $30 sale haha :pfff:
