Samsung SSD Speed

When I initially installed my Samsung SSD, it had a boot time of 15 seconds. Now, about 6 to 8 months later, it has a boot time of 29 seconds.

I know defragmentation is not good for SSD drives, but still, I have occasionally defraged the handful of files that were in hundreds of pieces (using Piriform Defraggler). Fragmentation is at 6%. The drive is about 85% free space.

Any ideas as to why I have this slow down in boot time, and what I can do to resolve it?

Thank you

Solution
1. Don't defrag your SSD. It won't "kill it", but it serves no purpose, and just introduces extra write cycles.

2. A slower boot time is almost certainly other software, and not the physical SSD.

3. Measuring this boot time from exactly when to when?
