hey guys.

something really weird is happening here. just finished a new build. got past post, installed windows on this hardrive, installed successfully, installed mother board drivers, then i went to bed for the night.

i woke up in the morning to my computer asking to "Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device or insert boot media.... ". basically i stripped my computer down to the usb i was using to install windows, and the hard drive i am certain windows is installed on.

i was feeling like my hardrive blew up, i got to this far in the windows installation where you can see in the screen where the hard drives would normally appear, and it appears to be blank. but i clicked on the drivers button to see where that would take me, and it got me to a screen where i could browse the computer. here you can clearly see the computer recognising the hardive with the windows installation, alongside the installation usb.

here are some pictures for you.

so im kinda stuck, any of you guys got an idea of what to do next?

Solution
If the drive isn't detected in your BIOS setup program then either the drive either has a connection or power issue or the drive is dead. Reseat both the motherboard and hard drive side of the SATA connections.

If you can't see the drive in BIOS settings then Windows isn't part of the problem and no Windows-based solutions will help.
