Gaming Headset Advice Needed

I have just purchased a Creative Sound Blaster ZXR sound card which I will be using for a mixture of gaming and music listening. My gaming hardware and speakers are Logitech and I currently have a set of Logitech G430 headsets. I know the ZXR is one of Creative's highest end sound cards, but it is rated up to 5.1. I intend to connect whatever gaming headsets that I use directly into the sound card for gaming. I am considering replacing my G430 headsets for something else, but I am not very knowledgeable on gaming headsets since I have not used very many. Game wise, I will be playing titles like Crysis, Mass Effect, Transformers, and Star Wars The Old Republic, and Tomb Raider. Would I be better off holding on to the G430s or should I look at replacements? If replacing them is recommended, I don't have a specific budget, maybe somewhere up to the $150-$200 range. I am trying to avoid really cheap headsets and going overkill if I replace them. Thanks.

Do you need a mic? If not, go with a real set of headphones. A pair of Sennheiser HD 598 SR will run you $140, and Sennheiser HD 598 C will run $150 and will generally blow away the audio of a pair of gaming headsets. If you do need a mic you could get something like a ModMic to attach (tho you'd want to go through a USB adapter for that).

Otherwise, for gaming headsets try on different sets to see what fits bets. I have big ears so fit is always iffy without trying them on first. I'd look at the Logitech G633 for wired, or Logitech G933 for wireless. You're already using the Logitech software so it'd all integrate. The Corair Void Pro RGB is also supposed to have great sound for a gaming headset.
