Hello!
I recently bought a gtx 1060 windforce OC from Gigabyte to replace my radeon HD7900. I did this because I enjoy playing Overwatch and I seemed to be getting less and less fps untill the game became unplayable. I installed the new GPU and noticed a significant improvement in Overwatch (and most other games I’ve tried). Now with Rocket League I’ve always had a stable 144 fps with my old card but now with the new one I have lower fps on almost all maps. I’ve monitored my performance with afterburner and noticed that my CPU runs at 50-55% average during the game but my GPU is always at around 98%. How is this possible when my GPU is quite a big upgrade from my old one?
Things I’ve tried so far:
- Deleted all my old drivers and reinstalled everything.
- Tried it with and without geforce experience (also setting the Rocket League settings on performance within Geforce Experience).
- In 3D settings of NVIDIA setting everything to low and performance.
- Made sure it’s not using an onboard GPU.
- Put my new GPU on overclock mode.
- Made sure my BIOS and graphics drivers are up to date.
- Read all the topics about this on this forum.
My specs:
- GeForce® GTX 1060 WINDFORCE OC 6G
- Intel i5-3450 3.10 ghz 3.50 ghz
- 8 GB ram
- GA-Z77-D3H (rev. 1.0)
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Arjun
