So I am awaiting my new PC Dell XPS 8930 special edition. I7 8700k and GTX 1080.

I was originally gonna do a build and started buying parts. I have the basics the case and fans/fan controller and a PSU and SSD drive. I am going to return it all to amazon except the case isnt worth the return shipping.

Just thinking Should I swap the Dell over to the case when it arrives so I can cool it better? Its a Haf 912 case.

The stock case just looks cramped and like airflow is limited for what its running.

Then I was also thinking should I just keep the PSU and swap that as well. Its a Corsair 750watt modular c5750m. Then in future I wont have to worry about it. Listed as coming with a 460w

Solution
Any success?
I did it with the XPS 8900, but was looking into getting the 8930

I took out the MB and moved it to a genetic ATX case. The only issue was on the Front Panel Header.
Jumping a pair of pins fixed it.
Everything else was fine. Didnt need the WiFi/Bluetooth so the cabling for the antennae was not necessary.

With a new PC if you do that swap you will void your warranty. I wouldn't do anything to that PC until the warranty is up. Once the warranty is done and you want to start doing stuff, then have fun. But doing things like that now is not a good idea.
