I have a brand new setup that I just set up today. I’m running:

Motherboard: MSI Z370-A Pro
CPU: Intel Celeron LGA 1151
RAM: Veteke 4GB DDR4
PSU: Antec 500W (Plenty of power for basics and runs great)
No GPU (yet)

I have no speakers so I cannot do a beep diagnosis and I don’t have a computer screen as of today to see what the hell is going on. I was just trying to connect everything and power it on to make sure it’s running (which it’s not...)

When I plug in the 8pin CPU power cable the mobo leds flash and the CPU fan spins all for a good 2 seconds then it all dies. Unplug that 8pin CPU and everything lights up and turns on and runs steady, no heat, no pops, no sparks, all good.

Do I have a DOA cpu or is it the mobo connection or what? The mobo is not shorting for its on a foam platform with no metal touching.

I’m getting a screen today to see if anything pops up, but does anyone have any solutions or suggestions?
