Hi guys, so I'm just trying to put together a build for a friend who wants to spend less than 750CAD on a Mini-PC (I'm not sure if that is even possible with today's memory prices.)

Approximate Purchase Date: Anytime in the next month or so.

Budget Range: 750 CAD After Rebates; After Shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Dual monitor, SES (Simple program, no GPU required)
https://makinhole.com/SES_Download.htm]
http://www.sestech.com/KBase/article.aspx?id=118]

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: New build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.ca, Amazon.ca, or anywhere else with free/cheap shipping in Canada

Location: - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

Parts Preferences: by brand or type - No preference

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No GPU is required

Your Monitor Resolution: 2x1920x1080 https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Monitors/MX279H/

Additional Comments: Just a tiny mini-pc to run a simple drilling program.

Why Are You Upgrading: Building a PC for a geologist friend who works out at the oil fields in Alberta.

2 things. i would use memory express in edmonton for parts. i use them for parts sometimes since ncix in vancouver went bankrupt. and also i noticed the first program you use is a older 32bit program from win98 you may have to be careful with compatibility.

Is NUC an option? There are Barebones with 2xHDMI connectors. eg: Intel NUC Kit NUC7I3DNKE
Kingston HyperX SO-DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-2400 (HX424S14IB2K2/16)
Samsung SSD 960 EVO 250GB, M.2 (MZ-V6E250BW)

Check the prices in your region, it must be way within your budget. If you want you can go with a
Samsung SSD 960 EVO 500GB, M.2 (MZ-V6E500BW)
or an i5 NUC Kingston HyperX Impact SO-DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-2400, CL14 (HX424S14IB2K2/16)
