I heard you need to flip the switch as fast as you can or if you fip it slowly it can burn some parts inside the PSU due to the increase in heat when you flip it off or on slowly ?

I'm asking because yesterday when I flip it off it got stuck in the middle I think for a second
because I didn't put enough pressure to flip it off fast
any damage ?

If you unplug the power cable there is absolutely no point in flipping the PSU switch as well, the switch is effectively dead anyway if cable is unplugged - :sarcastic:

However, in my opinion there is no need to flip it off or unplug the cable - - no need at all. I never do unless I'm cleaning inside the case or upgrading a component.

Heck, I don't even...

No, it's fine. It is true that charging electrical circuits causes wear. Hence, turning a light switch on/off/on/off/on/off can eventually burn the bulb (just ask my 4 year old). But, generally speaking, it should require excessive abuse to cause any issues.

Heck, I don't even shut down my computer most nights - - I just put it to sleep, only rebooting to flush RAM contents when it gets a big sluggish.
