I canno twatch any programme on Roku Streaming Stick - BBC, ITV, BBC News. I have a HDMI 1 port. Streaming Stick worked perfectly until Dec 2017. Even if I sign in using my email account and password
No, I have not contact service provider. How would that help?

Go back a few steps and take a closer look at the history and what you have done to date.

Have you tried another known working HDMI cable?

For even more links and information google "'HDCP unauthorized. Content disabled" or vary the search criteria as applicable.

Try the Roku and/or cable in other connection environments. If possible try another Roku.

Determine if the problem follows the Roku, the cable, or stays with the TV.

The only thing I have been able to do is unplug the Roku for a half hour or so and then let it reboot. I too have been receiving this HDCP error when using a Roku. At first it appeared when I was streaming on a new Roku Ultra. The TV is new (LG OLED) the receiver is new (Sony) and all the HDMI cables are new - all are 4K 2.2 compliant. I finally replaced the Roku ultra with a Roku Premier Plus from another tv in the house that has worked without issue for a year. It worked fine for a couple of days and then it too has the HDCP error. I've been through all the steps to correct it and it still does it occasionally. We have a small tv in the kitchen that's connected to a Roku 3 that is a 1080P that has worked great for over a year. When I turned it on today the whole screen was purple "Unauthorized content" HDCP error. I unplugged the Roku 3 for about a half hour, plugged it back in and after the reboot it now works again. I researched the error on the 'net and many Roku users are having the same HDCP error issues. Many believe it is due to a recent Roku update - I am starting to believe it since the errors have started only recently. We cut the cable and now I am looking for a different streaming box other than Roku. I've called Roku Customer Service and they are saying they haven't heard anything about the error which is hard to believe particularly when you see all the post about the error.

Probably one of those situations where you may need to simply "wait it out a bit'.

Annoying and inconvenient of course.

Continue checking, searching, etc.. Very likely that some bug in an update will be quietly fixed.

Especially as public awareness of the problem grows. Or someone discovers the true cause and a viable end user fix.

You're probably right but it is irritating. I would prefer that companies admitted there was a problem and that they are working on a fix instead of making customers go through the gyrations of unplugging and re-plugging cables and everything else in the troubleshooting. Ugg!
