Wipe my hdd completely

I have a new ssd that I want to install win10 on and I want to use my old hard drive to storage all my files. But I need to wipe the hard drive. I have to ENTIRELY wipe my hard drive including the os. How would I do that?

Open Disk Management, right click the correct drive and choose "Format".

1. Install the OS on the new SSD with ONLY the SSD connected.
Reconnect the old HDD later.

2. Show us a screencap of your current Disk Management window.
This will tell us how to completely wipe that old drive. A simple 'Format' might not delete all the original partitions.

A full format will delete contents of a chosen partition; however, anything similar to Acronis Disk Director in power will eliminate everything on a chosen hard-drive.
