Strange Controller Issue in video game Subnautica

Hey there. I just bought the game for the first time and I wanted to get into it since I've loved just about every survival game I've played. VR is a nice additional feature too.

Anyways, I bought a Pro Controller from Nintendo and it's been working strangely so far through bluetooth. I calibrated it and all seemed to be fine outside of Subnautica.

I then launched Subnautica and the thumbsticks stopped responding completely. The left thumbstick shifted left and right when I pushed it up and down and the right thumbstick seemed very strange in the sense that I could press it down and the menu would respond by pressing down as well, but it would automatically bump itself back up again no matter what I did unless I held it down in which case it would go all the way down and respond to the input until I stopped holding down then it'd revert back to going up automatically.

I've tried emulating a X360 controller but that didn't work either... As soon as I launch Subnautica everything turns sour.

I hope I'm not the only one who has encountered this, and if I'm not; any help?

Thanks for reading!

Might want to try the experimental mode they talk about to see if it fixes it. Game issues you'll best resolve on game forums really, this likely isn't a hardware problem as it works fine outside this one game.
