I'm looking to get a new monitor for my PC and was planning to get a 144hz one to use for gaming. My current GPU is super old so I'm pretty sure I'd have to replace that before upgrading the monitor (current is gtx 680). The only game I really play at the moment is Overwatch and I don't really plan to start playing anything much more graphics intense than that. The monitor I've been looking at is the Asus VG248QE 24 inch.

So I'd just like to ask if that monitor would be good for what I want, or if there is a better one around the same price or if there is a reason why I should spend more on a monitor. Also any suggestions for a new GPU (should I be waiting for the volta cards at this point?) would be a huge help too.

And just in case my other specs are important I'm using 8GB of DDR4 2666Mhz RAM and an i3 8350k CPU
