Weird Segate removable drive problem

I have a really random problem with this Seagate removable drive. I used the USB to sata cable for multiple hard drives like I have in the past with Western Digital removable drives, but this time things are different. The other drive I use connects with the adapter just fine, but the original Seagate drive when connecting to windows has 1 of 5 outcomes.

1. It makes the connection sound and then 15 seconds later the disconnect sound.

2. It connects and the drive shows up in "This PC" but is inaccessible then disconnects and says USB device not recognized.

3. It connects and the files are accessible for about 10 seconds and then it disconnects.

4. By far the weirdest one as it disconnects all other USB devices for 5-10 seconds and doesn't show up either.

5. Or it connects and works as it should (this rarely happens)

It is a Seagate SRD00F1.

Solution
If the Hitachi drive works fine, then I have to agree with JaredDM; there is something wrong with the Seagate drive. Did you contact Seagate to explain the issue?

It happens on all systems after I have used the second hard drive with the cable. Once I get it to connect to Windows then it works up until I use the second drive in it and swap back.

The drive ought to be fine since I purchased it within the past 3 months, there is no performance loss, and the SeaTools tests don't show any errors.

What other drive? Another identical drive? You don't have a case for each drive?

The other drive is an older Hitachi hard drive from my old laptop that has my old files on it. I have the Seagate in its original case and the Hitachi in an older Seagate enclosure that I have since giving the drive and cable to a relative.

No, but I guess I'll see what they say.
