MSi Z97 G45 Gaming Motherboard

600 Watt PSU

Thank you.

Okay, thanks for that:) I can only assume it's the Corsair VS600 which is a middle of the road PSU. Imo it's nearing the curb. The newest CX550W would be better imo. It's handle the 1080 okay but the I prefer the CX over VS and their RM series over the CX. I paid $69 for a Seasonic partially modular 650W 80+ Gold G-Series PSU. I'd trust the PSU even less if it's 3 years old or older. To be clear it's not a horrible PSU but not one I'd pair with a 1080. The 1080 only needs a 500W PSU so technically it should be okay...

Quite easily. I was in a similar boat with

. I asked the questions, I looked at past questions regarding PC's with a 4690K. The answers I received led me to my current system

The former questions regarding your PSU still need answers because without them my answer is moot. I went from an EVGA 500W 80+ PSU to a Seasonic G-Series 650W 80+ Gold PSU.
