Is this PSU good enough for overclocking my components?

Solution
The vs isn't a dire unit , if you were to rate it it would probably be a 5.5-6 out of 10 .

Its just absolutely mediocre in every way , as sizzling says its missing some protection circuitry .
I wouldnt consider this as big an issue in countries where mains power is stable & non fluctuating.

There are hundreds of better units & thousands of worse ones.

The issue is an extra 15/20 £/€/$ gets you something inherently better in the first place & when youre running $600-700 worth of components as a percentage thats a drop in the ocean

If you own the vs450 already then fine , keep it.
If you don't buy something better like the cx450 in the first place , for your extra few dollars its absolutely worth it.

What is the risk of having a low quality PSU though?
