Hello! I basicly wondering if it's any chance for Nvidia geforce gtx 470 asus & Nvidia geforce gt 740 supercloocked 2gb can work together for increase gaming performence (sli)?

I really appreciate if you guys can help me found this answer.

Have a good day. :)

Solution
No.

Unlike AMD Crossfire, SLI from Nvidia only is supported for High end GPUs. So while the 470 may do so, the 740 most certainly does not. You can check their official website for the list of features supported by each card.

You would be better off buying a new GPU like the 1050, 1050 Ti, 1030 from Nvidia or the RX 560 or 460 from AMD.

If you are really tight on cash get the 1030. Or if you can manage to spend the money get a 1050 Ti as it is the strongest of the cards I mentioned by a significant margin.

Comparatively:
IF a 1050 Ti is a 100 points
1050 is 80 points
1030 is 40 points
RX 560 is 75 points
RX 460 is 60 points

Nope. Sorry mate. It will not work.

Both of the cards have to be SAME model and they have to BOTH support SLI. O

on top of what everyone else is saying, running SLI with the newer 10 series nvidia cards isn't as good as previous generation. to top it off even further most all newer games since 2017 tend to perform worse when running an SLI config. So to be honest, if you are looking for SLI for gaming then don't bother. If you need the extra compute power for other stuff that will benefit from it then go for it but only the gtx 1070 and up can run SLI and you can only run two of them. there is a GPU bios update you can get for the pascal line of titan cards that will allow up to three way (not sure about support for 4 way) but that of course I'm sure is out of your budget range (based on the cards you were talking about and the fact that it's out of range for pretty much anybody). so I recommend to save the money necessary to just get a better GPU instead of cheaper ones in SLI. However, if you can find a good deal on some 980/980ti cards that will cost less together than a gtx 1070/1080 then definitely go for the SLI as when overclocked together you'll achieve similar performance to a GTX 1070 OC or 1080 stock but for less because you got them cheaper. Otherwise, save up and invest in a 1070 for higher end and a 1050ti for the lower end (I wouldn't recommend anything lower than a 1050ti) here is a list of SLI supported GPU's if you're interested

I have one last question! Which graphics card is best?

Nvidia GeForce GT 740 superclocked 2gb evga

Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 asus

Thanks for all the answer I get. I appreciate all of them!

Ok, so disregard my two previous posts if you've read them before I deleted them.
( I am not on my game tonight, so foggy in the brain lol.)

Which version of the EVGA SC 740 2GB is it? The DS or SS? Is it V2? Can you provide a model number?
Same thing for the 470 please
