Solution
Before you bought third party software to fix a Windows error, did you try to boot into Safe Mode by tapping the Function 8 key as the system loads up?

Give it a try now - if it gets you in, choose Safe Mode with Networking so you can download driver updates, etc. if necessary.

Put the WIN 7 disk in the drive
Select "upgrade."
This reloads the OS without erasing files or programs.
Should make it boot...BUT

Check the motherboard CMOS battery.
Open the bios, and make sure the correct date and time are set.
If not, replace the CMOS battery and re-set the date.
