Windows crash during high disk usage

I just upgraded my PC and started to download all the drivers, apps and games that were in my previous PC. I restarted the PC so that the drivers would kick in.

I give it time to settle itself after startup. I went to check task manager to see how everything is running. My disk usage was at 100%. I checked to see why is it at 100% and I found out it's because of Service Host. I disabled some of them but disk usage was at 100%.

I tried to find out the solution to this but everytime I try to find it out, the application that I am using would freeze and going to task manager was a no go because it froze anything I touched. Kept trying and restarting but to no avail, disk usage was still at 100%.

The hard drive was brought from my previous PC and had no issues back then.

I need a solution quick. I don't want my new PC to be isolated and of no use.

Nevermind about that, I got it fixed. What I did was I removed my optical drive which Windows kept reporting that it needs checking and repaired. I also reset my BIOS and updated it again. Now Windows is no longer crashing. Sorry for the inconvenience.

can you show us your resource monitor? press winkey+s. type "resource monitor". go to disk tab. sort by total. expand disk activity as well. and share the screenshot link.
