I want to connect a sound card to my laptop with headphone and mic audio. I also want to connect a male 3.5mm jack to male 3.5mm jack from my PS4 controller into the laptop so that I can get audio through the same headphones I already have plugged in, and then listen to PS4 audio and whatever my laptop is playing. How would I go about doing this? Could I get another sound card and use that also? Do I need a mixer? Thanks for any answers in advance.

Don't worry about it, I figured it out. I got a new sound card that I ordered a while ago and now I use one for PC audio and PC mic audio and the other is plugged into my controller via 3.5mm headphone jack cable. Thanks for offering the help though. :)

So I'm not sure if this will work, but my first thought was to plug in the PS4 audio via aux into your line in port (the blue one) on the PC. Then playback the line in through your headphones. This way you should in theory be able to hear both, your PS4 and PC audio.

Only issue with that is my laptop doesn't have a line in port. It has one 3.5mm jack with an image of a headset (with mic) next to it. Maybe I could get a cord that goes from line in to regular 3.5mm?

Using the normal mic/headphone jack for input isnt't the best idea, because of different voltages I think.

What do you want to achieve by having both your PC and PS on the same headset? If you only want to listen to music you could stream that from your PC to your PS via the media player.
