SSD and HDD

Simply put a SSD is a digital version of the HDD. Remember record players with a turntable and an arm with a needle? Assume I have one. I also have an MP3 player. The test is to see who can find an name all 8 songs on a particular album. I have to find the first song, move the arm, find the next and so on. You have to press a button. The MP3 player lacks that spinning silicon platter and arm that a regular HDD has.

The SSD theroretically should last longer but is definitely a lot quicker than a SSD.

Why the question? Building a PC? The Samsung 850 Evo...
