Hi All,

I have a three monitor setup on my gaming PC and I am having an issue with the main monitor losing its signal during the first minute of gaming. The temperatures are fine on the GPU. This monitor is hooked up via HDMI. One thing I am noticing is that the max voltage on the PSU is 11.837, is this too low?

One of the other monitors is hooked up via DVI and the other hooked up via VGA. Both of these stay on and the computer continues running fine after the main display goes out. Restarting the computer fixes the issue and the main monitor works fine.

Some troubleshooting I have performed: If i switch the main monitor to one of the others (VGA or DVI) everything works fine and none of the monitors go out no matter how hard I push it. So, the issue is solely on the main monitor. I have tried other HDMI cables, as well as different brands, and I have the same issue. I have also tried other ports on the monitor and have the same issue.

The only thing I can think of is the connection/port on the GPU (GTX 970) is failing considering everything I have mentioned. It can't be an issue with the PCIe because all of the other displays work fine under load when set as a main monitor. Maybe the PSU??

Can anyone think of any other issue than the port of connection on the GPU, or is the most likely case considering all above?

I had an evga gtx 980 that did something similar to that. It would randomly loose signal, and finally got to the point where the hdmi would not work at all. I ended up having to use the dvi ports and never had any issues after that. Personally i think its something to do with how the hdmi ports are soldered to the boards. Have you tried using an hdmi to dvi cable to test that monitor?
