Hello I pretty much know nothing about the insides of a computer. First the USB ports quit working. So I turned the off switch on the back of the computer and started it up, it turns on some what, fans are running but there is a button that says clr COMS lit up in red on the back of the computer. Inside the computer shows a number 45 and power and reset button all lit up red. Please help me I have zero clue what any of this means I tried googling

Ok, first off, I'd be very surprised if the temperatures are not at least partially to blame. You really need to clean that guy out - I'd be very surprised if that CPU cooler (and likely the GPU too) can even spin much at all.

Unplug the system, drain the power (hold the power button for a few seconds), get a can of compressed air, and blow and much dust out of there as you can (hold the fans in place while blowing at them, don't just let them spin).

Then, remove the CMOS battery (little silver battery below the CPU cooler), wait 10 mins, reinstall the battery and reconnect the plug.

You've got a lot more cleaning to do that just the fans. Everything is caked in dust.

The issue is likely to related to contact points/slots for the RAM, but I'd highly suggest disassembling the whole thing and giving everything a good clean.

Lol I just bought it from someone last week it was in storage for about a year, I had to use an entire large can of air duster to just clean it all. The front usb ports and disc drive do not work (they didn’t when I bought it) the back USB ports quit working today, I turned the computer off by the back switch and turned it back on. I think that’s what pissed off the computer

Honestly, even if you started disassembling/cleaning the moment it was brought up - that was ~20 minutes ago. That's not enough time to clean that mess appropriately.

I'd definitely suggest a complete disassembly, cleaning everything individually (including inside the RAM slots), remounting the CPU, new thermal paste, the works.

I don’t know how to disassemble and put everything back appropriately. I was trying to avoid paying some <removed> at geek squad hundreds to fix it. I don’t know what parts are which, I don’t know where certain parts are located, hence why I thought it was best to have someone call me or video and walk me through it and I offered to pay. I’ve air dusted everything to the best of my ability but there’s something else other than it being dusty.

Watch the language please

Make sure you discharge any static electricity before touching the innards of the computer. Even if you don't feel a shock, electric shock discharge can occur and damage parts.

Also, if you do move on to thoroughly cleaning the PC like the cpu, ram etc. I suggest you look up some videos on youtube on how to clean cpu/cooler of the old thermal paste. and, also on how to reapply the new thermal paste. I was nervous on my first applying the thermal paste.
