I know a ton of people have probably had this idea already but, would it be a good idea to sell my graphics card for a high price now and buy a better one when the prices go down and are available again? I have a 1060 6gb that someone wants to buy and I have it listed for $400. If i sold it in a few weeks how long would I have to wait for gpus to be available on nvidias website? Will it be a really long time or not too long?

There are video cards for sale all over Craigslist, so yes lots of people have had this idea. To make selling your card worth it, the cost you paid for the card plus cost of new card minus what you sold the card for has to be less than 0. If you paid $300 for a card, sell it for $400 then buy another one for $300 again, you lost $200.
