What Motherboards Support Fan Controlling

I'm thinking about upgrading some of my components (one of which being my Motherboard) and had a question. I was browsing the internet the other day for parts and came across some PC fan speed controllers. I discovered that some motherboards can come with fan control support built-in while other's are merely supported by programs or other hardware.
And now I'm curious as to what motherboards come with this feature, what ones are just supported by programs/hardware and what ones just don't do fan controlling full stop. Are there any specific things that I need to be aware of or does it just depend on the motherboard?

In case you're wondering I'm planning on getting a Gigabyte Z370 HD3. I am planning on using my PC for (mostly) Gaming.

Thanks for any help :)

Pretty much every Z370 board offers full fan control on all headers, be it PWM or DC fans. I'd be hard pressed to show one that does not. That said, I like very much how Gigabyte boards go about fan control in BIOS - it's simple yet powerful solution they offer. But their Windows program that does the same (called SIV) is just crap. If you are happy about setting all fan profiles in BIOS and then forgetting about their existence, Gigabyte boards are way to go (and they only differ on how many headers they have, aside from that functionality is identical).
