I am looking for a new motherbaord as i am re-building a Pc. I only need a motherboard because my friend gave my everything else, so this is what im starting with, A Evga Geforce GTX 760 2gb, two 8 gb ram sticks (1600mhz) and two 1gb ram stick, CoolerMaster eXtreme Power Plus RS-500-PCAR-A3 - Power supply internal - ATX12V 2.3 - 500 Watt and a western digital 1Tb HDD and a 3rd gen i5 3470 quad-core (Socket LGA1155), so with that any help would be appriciated.

Solution
- LGA1155 motherboard needed. You'll have to get a refurbished one from eBay or Newegg or a shop somewhere. Z77 Extreme4 or GA-Z77-D3H would work. Z77 supports Ivy bridge processors (yours) without a BIOS update needed.

- Recommend not mixing and matching RAM. Causes issues. Don't use the two 1GB sticks unless you are running out of RAM.

- SSD is recommended. Will speed up booting and program loading and map loads dramatically.

- Power supply is not proven to be that great. A more well known model would be more trustworthy. If it is anything like the Elite series then I would replace it. The power supply also has too low wattage for that system in general. 500W is really cutting it close. 550W or 600W recommended. An alternative...
