I have a old windows XP hard drive hooked up to a older PC. When I booted into windows xp for the first time it did not recognize my ethernet controller so I had to download a ethernet controller driver on my main computer and transfer it onto the XP hard drive because i couldn't get online on the xp computer. So that's what I did. After I transfered it I booted into XP and installed the driver. It then recognized my ethernet cord. I somewhat solved the problem. When I search online it comes up with results but when i try to actually visit a website it says ( this page cannot be displayed) and on the bottom of the page it says (DNS server error) This may have something to do with the fact that I am using internet explorer 6 (lol) but I can't even update it because when I click update internet explorer it says this page cannot be displayed, So I can't download firefox or chrome. I am honestly clueless maybe it's the driver idk. I have already tried a lot of trouble shooting. Pls help!

use another browser like Firefox ESR. You might need to save it to a flash drive and copy it to the XP computer.
