Hello everyone, first let me thank you for taking your time. This is my first time building a rig by myself so i wanted some tips/opinions about it.

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700X 3.4Ghz
MOBO: Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4
Cooling: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 CPU Cooler, All-in-One Liquid Cooler, Dual Chamber Design, 120mm x 2
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz 2x8GB
Case: Phanteks P300 Tempered Glass RGB ATX Mid Tower

I won't be buying a GPU for the moment due to mining skyrocketing prices, so i will be using and old gpu (GTX 560se) from my previous pc until it's stabilizes. I won't be needing SLI/Crossfire btw.

Also, i'm into 3D modeling, rendering, video/image editing and moderate gaming. My plan is to OC my CPU that's why the liquid cooler.

I did the math and i have a $600 build, what do you think about this set up. Again, any suggestion is welcomed.

EDIT: I have a SATA SSD 512GB (Will be upgrading to M.2 later) and a 650W PSU.

Well for the time being the cpu (yes, the processor) will be severely bottlenecked because the gpu and cpu are quite literally opposites in performance. When you get a decent gpu, that should be solved. Otherwise...not bad

I'd say pretty decent build. If you don't have an SSD to have Windows installed on, I definitely recommend you get one. An SSD will allow you to see how fast your computer actually is, since a traditional hard drive is so slow it can make your computer look slow. Once GPU prices settle down, I'd throw a 1070ti/1080/1080ti in there and you'll be good to go.

I've read about the Arctic 240mm seems pretty solid thank you. About the X370 and B350 MOBO, i believe the X370 will have features i won't be needing like SLI/Crossfire or ''better VRM'' (Does it reflects in real life performance?), could you please further explain?

I know :( but i believe buying a GPU right now is madness, so i guess this is what i have for now. Thanks you man! But if you'll have to pick, any price/performance GPU for Ryzen 7 what would your suggestion be?

I don't mine coins, but i'm into Cryptotrading, fuck me right?

Thank for the responde dude.

I used to have a B350 Tomahawk with my 1700 and it could not hold even 3.8GHz stable.
It was all up to the power delivery (vrms) not delivering enough power for the cpu.
And even if it could have done that the vrms would have been under a massive load most of the time likely causing a premature failure.

Now i have the X370 Taichi which can easily hold my 1700 stable at even 4GHz given enough voltage.

Cool, got it. Any X370 recommendations? I don't want to spend more than $120 on a MOBO, i believe there're a few out there. I don't need SLI/Crossfire as i said, 4 ram slots (for further expansion), more than 4 sata is unnecessary, at least one PCIe 3.0 lane. Mid-high is my target.

Thank you for your time btw!
