Will leaving out screws in wifi card mounting cause any problems?

I have a problem installing a WIFI card into the motherboard. Its the gigabyte GC-WB867D. Paired with a MSI Z370 motherboard in a Anidees AI crystal case. The screws that screw into the card don't align well. If i don't screw them into the WIFI card will that cause a problem?

Hi Reedo, the gold plate can't go between the mb and case. it's too long. I think it goes outside the case. Am I not doing this right then?

oh. so the backplate doesn't go outside the case. Dang. This means the case I'm using is not compatible with wifi cards? Because there is no space to put the card where the plate will hang behind motherboard. Here is the case so far.

Will I have to settle for just a usb wifi adapter then for wireless connectivity?

Hi geofelt, I did read the wikihow and I'm sure I did attempt to mount it right, but this case I'm using doesn't have bays like that. Please see below image of what I'm experiencing. I appreciate the help. However, by looking at the case is it even possible for me to mount a wifi card in it?

It looks to me like there is a cover that slides up to allow you to install an expansion card. It looks like there is a set screw that is not there and a slot perhaps 1cm high above where the screw goes.
You have to figure this out or you will never be able to install a discrete graphics card.
Does the case manual have anything to day about how to mount expansion cards?

Your right. I was able to unscrew a panel that let me mount the card and my gpu. Thank you.
