Hello. i used to much thermal paste and some reach in cpu socket between pins.the thermal paste is arctic mx4 what i have to do i start pc and everything works ok except sensor temperature shows 120 c. how can i clean the thermal paste which is better alcohol izopropilic or arcticlean and if thermal paste it is not electrical conductive is need to risk and clean?
Thank you!

Solution
Temp sensor reading is odd, so it may be defaulting due to no connection. Arctic MX-4 is non conductive.

Isopropyl alcohol would be best for attempting to clean it, that makes thermal compounds dissolve. The only downside is you will have to have a way to get it out of there. Canned air is a possibility.

And you will need to let it dry for a very long while before firing it up, just in case.
