Hello Experts!
So, I have a potato PC. Please you can giggle
Specs :
Core 2 Duo E7400
G31 Motherboard (All Drivers Up To Date)
4GB DDR2 RAM
ASUS GT 710 Silent (LOL FACTOR)
450W PSU

So, here is the issue
I am trying to install my graphics drivers and it installed after much effort
but what is happening now is that when I restarted my PC after the setup had finished and when it asked me to do so, after booting up the graphics don't just work !. The display resolution is very disturbing to see.
Means that, The drivers are installed, showing in the control panel but in device manager's display adapter's tab its showing "Standard VGA Display Adapter"
So, its not letting me to update from there too.
But sometimes, rarely (Like A Blood Moon). It shows that the drivers are installed when booted up but then after restarting its LOL (Drivers Not Installed)

Please tell me a fix
Please
Thanks In Advance!

Solution
Im working on that, there has been a way to manually install drivers (i used that on my R7 250).
Now in device manager right click on standard, select update, then browse my computer then search browse where you extracted NVIDIA WHQL , and in that folder select Display.Driver then select next you should wait for Windows to finish scanning the folder for suitable drivers. It will pick up the display driver, and install it on the machine. You should get a "Windows has successfully updated your drivers" notification in the end. This indicates that Windows has installed the new driver for the Nvidia graphics card, and will use it from that moment on.

Sorry i prolonged your days doing nothing.
Which windows do you have?
If you are downloading latest drivers you need to update windows.
After you updated windows 7 restart it and go to safe mode with networking and Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and uninstall drivers, restart and again to safe mode and install latest drivers and see if it worked (as it asks for restart, restart and it should go to normal windows and check if it installed.

Windows 10 safe mode https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10 The "Use the “Shift + Restart” combination"
and do the same thing but download DDU before.

I have G31 motherboard and it should install GT 710 regardless (on my second PC).

there's a thread over on the GeForce forums about the recent Nvidia drivers being buggy, and folks recommending rolling back to a previously known stable driver - don't know if it applies to your 710 but seeing as how Nvidia seems to employ the same drivers for so many models, it's worth looking at
on the nvidia page, driver downloads, they list all their previous drivers - see if the driver recommended in this thread is on the list for your card

Hello Robert Ban
Can you say me how can I update the drivers cause after uninstalling the existing Standard VGA ... It's not showing the he option of display adapter's which I could possibly update. And if I try to install through setup. The setup will say my system is not compatible as it doesn't meet the minimum requirements

@anshulgamer

go visit this page, ( http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us )and select your video card type (GeForce) GT710, your windows operating system 7,8,10 and what version 32 bits or 64 bits, or you can click on the grey button run application and let it discover what you have.

It's showing Standard VGA display adaptor. Nothing else
GMA 3100 works fine after removing GPU. But when the driver DVD autorun is runner by me. It shows that it has stopped working.
Does not updating the PCIe drivers after installing new windows give this problem?

I meant your GPU ASUS GT 710 Silent that you take picture from behind where the sticker is, saying something like NV-710- etc.

Actually I said my dad to bring the motherboard and I fixed everything but he bought a third party company's motherboard. Not really a huge issue. But it's a rebranded motherboard of the company Foxconn or something along those lines. So it's model no is not accurate. It's just E-MBG31.

I guess I should search for the drivers of my GT 710 using the 2nd code line which is shown in the properties of the Hardware IDs of the Standard VGA display adaptor. If it works with my version of card. I will let you know.

Seems like your motherboard doesn't support the GPU, has happened to me once.
I think the borderline for GPU is to GTX 400 series (i've read somwhere).
Your motherboard has PCIE 1.0 and that's the issue.
As i've had Asrock 775Dual-vsta (2006) won't install gpu drivers, as i've threw away my GT520 i've had i modified bios with the codes soo supports Quadcore and by some black magic it wouldn't recognize r7 250 but R5 that i've had lying around soo i guess your motherboard is off brand and it isn't supporting PCIE 2.X gpu but they should be bacwards unless the bios is restricting or the chipset of the motherboard (chipset is controlling everything, for example your is G31) isn't allowing that.

Until somebody finds, or i find bios update for that motherboard i think you're gonna be stuck.

If you can RMA that motherboard, i suggest you to save up money and buy atleast I5 4th generation which is cheap as 80$ if and motherboard atleast 50$ and you're good to go with PSU you have and GPU.

Too bad :( if he could return motherboard and buy used one it would work fine, because these boards are "Generic" lets say, its like you buy an fake iphone.

There could be other way.
Download AIDA 64 EXTREME

Now after you install let it as Trial.
After you start it , there should be REPORT button on upper middle, select it, screen will popup, press next,
select Hardware Related TABS, then as HTML,
as report finished, safe file to desktop and upload it and paste link here.
Ill search trought and see what can i find.
If i can find out, ill test your bios on my motherboard (i have spare).

Thanks that you are still supporting
But, I think its not a BIOS error. I guess there is a issue with the startup
Today when I started my PC for checking for BIOS online, I saw that the drivers worked properly and it showed GT 710 in the device manager
https://ibb.co/n838D7
But, then I restarted my PC and it again showed the same issue
https://ibb.co/igTEmS

I guess there is a error in which the startup
Sometimes the PC is booting through the Graphics Card and the PC is well and good
But then it is starting indirectly through the Graphics Card and showing Standard VGA Display Adapter

Any solution for this brother?
