I want to build a PC. I already have ROG STRIX GTX 1080. GPU doesn't include in budget. My budget is 1000€. I want other components to be RGB. Probably i'll need some SSD and HDD, both of them, because i love to store a lot of trash on my pc.

i7-8700k would be a better choice ~350$
Rest:
  • Z370 motherboard ~100$
    16GB DDR4 ram ~120$
    PSU 600W SeaSonic (S12II-620) ~80$
    SSD Samsung 850 evo 250GB ~ 90$
    HDD WD black 4TB ~160$
+ case of your choice <100$

motherboard in my country costs 200eur.
I need name of company that makes good rgb ram, because I know, some of them make.
I don't know about the PSU, maybe it's good enough.
not that much HDD :D something close to 1TB or 2TB
Case from some good company with rgb.

What I found should be plenty for your needs, and years to come. Its RGBified and G.Skill makes great RGB ram.

Yeah, but even the 8700k isn't that much faster over the 7700k, Also the build i specced for him is just under budget but with a decent AIO and fast m.2 storage with 2tbs of Mass Storage, also that PSU won't be enough if he plans on overclocking the GPU and 8700k, the 8700k can pull close to 700+ watts from the wall at 4.5 to 5ghz

It's a nice build, but i think i can get something better for this price, not like i'm trying to be picky, everything is good except those things.

CPU: It's good but like other ppl told me, i can pay 40$ more and buy i7-8700k.
MOBO: Not that much RGB, something from ASUS would be nice because i know that they make good RGB stuff.
RAM: It's probably the best RGB ram i've ever seen so i'm getting it 100%
SSD: It's good but what about the Samsung 960 pro? It costs 140eur more than 850 evo, but it have 512gb and it's a lot faster than 850 evo.
HDD: It's good, probably getting it.
CASE: Looks bad for me, i don't know why but i don't like it.
PSU: why 850w? Isn't 600w enough for i7 8700k and gtx 1080?

Thanks for your suggestion mate :)

I don't know about CPU but GPU already comes overclocked. If i try to overclock my GPU more, probably nothing will change.

My first question is, are you overclocking? that will determine who's build you should go with. The case and m.2 ssd are always debatable depending on the person needs.

Probably yes, of course if it's possible.

If your over clocking i'd recommend a 7700k, and a good brand 750w psu at least. 8700k overclocked can easily overload that little 600w, and it puts out a lot of heat, if you go 8700k I recommend a good and big AIO or a custom loop with a big radiator.

Watched some game tests on i7 7700k and i7 8700k, some benchmarks. Looks like i'd get some boost in games. plus 10-15 fps. It's a lot..

were they overclocked? if you get the 8700k beware that your going to need a pretty beefy PSU and really good cooling for overclocking it.

ye, i7 7700k was overclocked but 8700k wasn't. I won't overclock 8700k because it's already good enough..

If its already "good enough" then why are you buying an overclocking capable chip and an overclocking capable board if your not overclocking?

What ever it's up to you, and for gaming you don't need anything better than a 7700k, unless your doing game streaming or video editing you probably won't even come close to saturating the power of an 8700k, and if your going this high end why not save the money you spent on an 8700k and spring for a 1080 ti instead of your 1080

cuz i already bought gtx 1080, 6 months ago. now im using it with my old pc. there's no need for me to buy gtx 1080ti cuz of mining in my country, gtx 1080ti costs 1500euro. Plus im getting with 8700k bonus 10-15fps in games, that's a big difference for me.

Both of these systems are very fast, while you could be getting 10-15 more fps in CPU bound games, which most aren't, 10-15 fps is going to barely even be noticeable, especially if your not running at 120 or 240hz on your monitor
