Gigabyte motherboards new pc problem

Okay so... I decided to build a pc out of some old parts i had lying around.
gigabyte 970a d3 rev1.4
fx8350
gtx970
8gb ddr3

Hdd is fresh. jus installed windows 10 aswell. i dont have a disk drive so i decided to dl the drivers from https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-970A-D3-rev-14#support-dl. the ones i dl'ed are the audio/lan/bios update. I updated bios already installed the lan driver.

but i dont get any internet access. sometimes it would say its connected to the internet but when i try to browse on microsoft edge(since its all i have, fresh os) it doesnt connect. and sometimes it shows the "no internet access". sooo i dnt kno what to do now.

Try using the on board ethernet for now, can you try a different driver for the WLAN card.

I am using the on board ethernet. I dont have a wlan card.

Did you get the right drivers? Since there's 5 revisions of this mobo?

are you using on board WIFI? Ethernet is the jack on the back of the board.

Yeah in my mobo it says rev 1.4. Yes im using the ethernet at the back. not wifi

Try the driver 1 or 2 older than the newest.

Make sure the lan is enabled in the BIOS

oh okay. i'll check in 3hrs when i get home. But shouldnt it be enabled if im seeing the computer icon in the bottom right saying connected?

Did you reinstall the drivers? Its possible they didn't install right. And after they install restart your pc for them to take affect

Yeah reinstalled it a coupel times. and restarted everytime.

Did you get the drivers from this page? https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-970A-D3-rev-14#support-dl get the win 10 64 bit ones for the Lan and choose your country.

If it's connected to the modem, does the led on the modem light up when it's connected?

its connected to a router thats connected to a modem. i cant really check right now if it lights up. but its the same ehternet cable i use for my ps4 and i can guarantee u that that one works.

Are you getting the correct drivers for windows 10 and your location?

Yeah windows 10 64bit, ver1.4, america. Not unless my motherboard isnt the 1.4 then iunno what else im missing. but it clearly says on the motherboard itself that its 1.4. i tried using the disc that came with it but it jus says xpress install doesnt work with 98/me or w/e. I looked it up it says i need to update bios but ive already done it.

Are you sure its the most current mobo BIOS? sometimes it will report the BIOS as being the newest when it isn't. If not try finding a BIOS 1 or 2 updates older than the newest, it can sometimes be the update messing with stuff.

well its the latest bios in the website. i tried the latest(which was in beta) and the one before it. both didnt work.
