Hi all,

i recently ran the HD sentinel software it showed me that i had 145 bad sectors on my TOSHIBA DT01ACA050 500 Gb hard drive and my hard drives health was at 18 percent..

should i quickly change my hard drive?

it has been almost 5 years since i am using my pc.

will running check disk help in anyway?

it shows that the remaining life time is 49 days

Backup all data (Save Games, Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos etc.) you don't want to loose. Buy new hard drive / ssd. Reinstall OS and software. I would NEVER use that drive again. I would then drill some holes in the drive before putting in the trash.
You can never guess will it die now or for 1 week or for years, i would suggest you to back up data immediately!
You can always reallocate bad sectors away by full formatting your HDD.
