^As the above posters are saying, if you want everything working correctly, install them. It takes minutes to install *all* your motherboard drivers. Best to get it out of the way as they can only make things better.
This is just one of the "essential* - if you will - steps after building a new computer.
Install windows -> Install LAN Driver off CD or USB -> Update Windows -> Install all most recent Motherboard Drivers off website -> Install all most recent Graphics Drivers off website -> Run Benchmarks and Stress Tests -> ...
...if you didn't already know about this website, it's super helpful for a new build or a reinstalled OS. www.ninite.com (Check what you want, and download)
Not sure if you were specifically asking about the chipset drivers alone, but I feel like I need to add (possibly for other readers that find this)...
I know that a new build / part can be exciting and you may feel the urge to go from 0 - 100 instantly starting <insert activities> but doing all of those steps ensures that you're truly ready to go and makes it so that you're not scratching your head later on when there's a problem with something.
Good luck =)
