Hi! Im building my first computer and I wonder if this will work/if i have picked the right parts. I'm not planning on overclocking and its only for gaming. Thanks in advance!

MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6gb

Intel Core i7-7700K

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB)

Cryorig C7 CPU Cooler

ASUS Z270 Motherboard

If you’re not going to overclock and never plan to then I would suggest grabbing the i7 7700 (non k) and pair it with a B250 motherboard. You’ll save money on the processor, motherboard, and cooler since one comes included with the non k chips.

If you want the option to overclock in the future then your setup looks good. The GPU market is crazy right now so buying one is just not advised at the moment. I would tell you to try and get the GTX 1070 but not for $800-$1000 lol

Its DDR4 and I will use my old case and power supply. I put all the parts on pcpartpicker.com and it said it would be fine. Thanks for the help!

Why the Kaby Lake series? Go for the Coffee Lake. Better in gaming.

Since you are gaming and not overclocking, go for the i5 8400. Use the stock cooler, or you can stick with the Cryorig, both are good. This is also cheaper than the 7700.

If your jst gaming try a non K cpu to save money. If your jst gaming i5 should be fine as well or ryzen 1600 should be fine. U can save a bit money on those two products. If your gaming on 1080p then gtx 1060 would be cable for now. Get a ssd to the build as well..
