I just posted an answer to a thread with a part list containing a Gigabyte GTX 1070 at $499. I just checked the site for the 1070 less than 2 minutes later and it was sold out already.

What do you guys say?

Solution
Right now there is a "perfect storm" for the prices to be high. RAM shortage, strong demand for games and for mining. It will probably be a long while before prices return to normal.

Ah, I did not know that. Where I am from, those prices are the usual prices for those cards. Still, has it not decreased a bit? I remember I saw a 1060 for $999 day before, it is now lower.

Any idea when prices might drop? I know NAND chips are in shortage, but what else?
