Looking to upgrade, not sure where to start

Hi. I'm not very familiar with building PC, so here goes.
I don't have many problems with my current PC, I did upgrade it from time to time, but I do think it's time to upgrade since recently I'm into PUBG and I've been playing with poor video settings and sometimes laggy (lead to many frustrating deaths).

Processor: Intel I7-2600 @3.4 Ghz.
GPU: GeForce GTX 750 2GB
Board: Intel 6 series C200 (is this correct? I'm not sure)
Storage: HDD 1TB & SSD Samsung Evo 850
PSU: I'm not sure, probably 700W.

I realize 2nd gen processor must be outdated by now. I'm thinking of upgrading my GPU since a website told me it's bottlenecking my system 49% of the time. However, I do think it may be a waste (rabbit hole) if I only upgrade it by a bit instead of a much better GPU, which means I will need new Processor and then new Board, and even PSU. I'm aiming to play PUBG with reasonable fps and graphic. Looking for suggestions, preferably the Value for Money routes.

Well your GPU is certainly the weakest link in your system, it is below the min recommended requirements for PUBG. The i7 2600, while it is old is still a capable processor and could fully utilize a GPU much more powerful than a GTX 750 in many games.

I would start with upgrading that GPU. Then maybe consider a switch to ryzen or a modern intel platform, this will require at the least a new motherboard, new cpu, and DDR4 RAM.

Hi Dunlop, thanks for the reply. Glad to know my i7 is a worthwhile investment and still going strong.
Followup question: Would a "Zotac GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB DDR5" do the trick and work well with a i7-2600 and Intel 6 C200?

A 1050 ti is a good choice if you can find one thats reasonably priced, the GPU market is pretty messed up at the moment GPU's are selling for way above their original MSRP.

Intel C200 is just the chipset your motherboard uses, that is not he model of the motherboard. But yes if the 750 works a 1050 ti should work as well, if it didn't the motherboard may need a BIOS update to support newer GPU's like the 1050 ti.

If you want download the program CPU-Z, launch it and go to the 'mainboard' tab, this will tell you the model number and other info about your motherboard.
