How to delete your hdd but some things stay

I know this is a stupid question but I want to erase my PC but just leave some games,pictures and OS ?

Select each folder you want to delete and push delete? I'm a bit lost here.

...along with the suggestions from others, you can also un-install any program and utility that you and the computer can "live without".

sudo rm -r / will do the erase part for you.
