Hi so I want to ask the community about Overclocking CPU's. I have a i7 8700k With a good cooler and wanted to change the Core Frequency to all cores at 4.8GHz. Can I change all cores to 4.8GHz with out changing or touching Voltage and or Power Limit options?

Also, I want to over clock my Cache from 4.4GHz stock to 4.5GHz.

Is it possible to overclock both parts with out any Voltage or Power Limit changes?

Furthermore, how do I make sure after overclocking that my CPU can still down clock when at very low usage or idle? So still have adaptive frequency enabled?

Windows 10 64-Bit Settings:
Power Options are at Balanced with Min CPU Usage at 10% and Max at 100% with Adaptive Cooling (enabled)

Components:
1) i7 8700k
2) NZXT H440
3) Power Supply 750W
4) Asrock Taichi Z370 Motherboard

Thanks
Comments Much Appreciated

When it comes to if you have to adjust the Vcore when you overclock all comes down to your CPU (silicone lottery). Some need more and some need less Vcore to run stable at a given set speed.

Overclocking your cache I personaly would not do to be honest. The performance gain is close to 0.

Regarding everything you want to do, or would like to do, meaning not messing with this, and not messing with that!

It'll run just fine without you doing anything, if you don't want to commit to really overclocking, you'd best just leave it alone!
