My RAM usage is 93% on idle !

Usually when i'm on idle, the memory will reach at most 58%. Lately it's been climbing higher reaching almost the maximum usage of memory. I've been reading but can't really find the solution. It might be a memory leak problem (related to the non-paged pool high memory consumption), but i tried it, got a few days with 60% and now its back to 90% usage. Is there any way to fix this once and for all?

-I have a 4GB DDR3 RAM.
-The top of task manager right now is Norton Internet Security with 40MB RAM usage.
-Non-paged pool is currently 2.1GB.
-Using HDD.
-Disk usage is 100% all of the time.
-There are some unlisted (blank) Processes in the task manager with 0MB usage (there are dozens of them). I have never seen those blank spaces before so i thought this might help if anything.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. It's gone to the point where it's almost unusable now.

UPDATE : Resetted my pc since i tried rebooting and nothing can boot up my pc again including bootup repairs and restoring. It's fine now but i'm not so sure it's gonna hold up long. Going to keep monitoring my non-paged pool and memory usage. It's currently 34% on idle. Will update !

Make sure to keep your anti-virus/anti-malware applications updated. Also, be careful what you download and install on your system. There are MANY threads on the site where members pirated games, for example, only to find their systems became infected afterward. This is very common.

Also, keep Windows up to date, as well as your device drivers and major applications (like MS Office if you are using it).

Increasing your system memory from 4GB to 8GB (assuming you have a 64-bit version of Windows installed) would also help with system performance.

I did a full system scan using my Norton and even installed Malwarebytes as recommended from other forums. Ran it and quarantined all the detected possible threats. I even downloaded Ccleaner to clean up my memory usage. Rebooted it and it seems to work for awhile but then the memory % starts to spike again. I tried rebooting again and it seems like repairing, and even restoring can't boot up my pc. I decided to just reset my pc and it has now functioning like normal. In order to prevent this though, is there any precautionary steps needed to be taken?

As of now,
-Non paged pool = 283MB
-Memory = 56% on idle
-Norton Antivirus, Malwarebytes, Ccleaner are gone

Yeah i've been planning to upgrade to 8GB RAM since 4GB nowadays just won't cut it in running most of the programs and games and the Windows is 64-bit. Thanks for the help i'll be sure to update here if anything happens again.

I'm going to re-install Norton only after this and see what happens. If anything occurs, i'm going to update here.
