I have two QUADRO K5000 cards (which I assume work) that I would like to build out into a low cost system for deep learning. As I understand it these cards have a fairly large number of GPUs and would be an amenable choice for this task.

Since this box would be rather barebones and used exclusively for highly parallel GPU tasks the only requirement would be to fit one or (if possible both) of these cards as well as 16-32GB ram.

I would greatly appreciate any advice on all of the parts I would need to build this out in a cost-effective manner.

* Motherboard & CPU that can fit these cards
* A good cheap case
* Recommended power supply

Any and all recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
They shouldn't need all that much. k5000s aren't super strong amazing cards or anything, so you don't need super high end stuff.
You'll need to research what software you're going to use and if it needs a stronger CPU or not. This CPU is strong enough to run both cards.
Though true workstation CPUs and boards can provide more power to the GPU lanes, I don't particularly think these cards approach that processing power.
